Xcel Jobs – Distribution Dispatcher

Job Description:

Position will be responsible for construction, maintenance and operations. Supports maintenance and emergency repairs of distribution and transmission lines.

Job Requirements:

• Perform aerial work in a safety belt in a safe and efficient manner
• Must be of adequate physical stature to
• Must have successfully taken the EEI CAST Assessment
• Must be mentally competent, able to communicate and able to comprehend instructions and build on previous experience
• Use shovels, sledge hammers and 90 lb jack hammers
• Lift and maneuver up to 90 lbs
  Must have a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL Class A)
• Work in confined areas
• Must pass the federal DOT physical examination
• Position could possibly require travel for extended time periods
• Must be totally committed to safety, quality work and customer service
• Must have a High School diploma or GED
• Must exhibit a team work attitude and be able to work with others
• Must be able and willing to respond to after hour and weekend call outs
• Apprentices are required to attend 2nd, 3rd and 4th year apprentice schools
• Climb wood poles up to 100′ tall
