Job Requirements:
- Develop novel data-driven systems/platforms to power Personalization experiences across site, app, stores, voice-commerce.
- Work closely with business and product stakeholders to define strategy, vision and roadmap for top initiatives in Personalization and Recommendations.
- Lead a team of talented application engineers, data engineers and ML ops engineers to design, implement, test and launch omni-channel personalized experiences.
- Actively contribute to research community and intellectual property through participation in conferences, seminars, workshops, university relations.
- Collaborate with team leads to deliver end-to-end scalable architecture for cross-functional projects.
- Lead and innovate in building scalable systems and services using state-of-the-art technology to standardize, ingest, infer and serve personalized customer experience across various Walmart channels.
- Lead, mentor and grow team members while working in an agile environment.
- Actively propose, review and present technical solutions including architecture design, implementation details and customer and business impacting KPIs.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
Qualification & Experience:
- You have experience working on ranking recommendations, online advertising, A/B testing systems, ecommerce or relevant areas.
- You’re experienced with inferring data models online with low latency, using GPUs for online inferencing and are experienced in optimally using processors to hosting one or more models in computes
- You have strong development experience with at least one programming language (Python or Java preferred).
- You have strong hands-on skills in ideating, designing, implementing and deploying large scale systems using distributed computing platform.
- You have over 3 years of experience mentoring junior application and data engineering teams.
- You have an excellent industrial or academic track record of publishing on system research.
- You have a Ph.D. with 3+ years of experience or a Masters Degree with 5+ years of experience in a computer science discipline with an emphasis on data engineering or ML Ops.
- You’re experienced with building end to end scalable projects emerging from research efforts.
