Job Description:

Reporting to the Team Lead of Digital & Performance Marketing, the Digital Marketing Specialist at Swoop will be responsible for delivering Swoop’s paid digital marketing strategy including paid search, paid social, video, display/programmatic, and a strong focus on SEM to deliver qualified traffic to site. You will develop paid channel strategies to drive successful revenue generating campaigns from beginning to end with the support of an external paid media management consultant. You will help drive valuable insights and continuously optimize your paid channels accordingly.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive digital marketing strategy and execution for Swoop, including: paid search, paid social, retargeting and display advertising/DSP
  • Work with Social Media Advisor to ensure synergistic relationship between paid and organic social media activities, maximizing awareness, engagement, and conversions
  • Maintain a data-first approach through continual tracking, reporting, optimization and experimentation to meet or exceed revenue and ROAS goals
  • Holistic and integrated planning of acquisition, consideration and awareness campaigns (i.e. inclusive of Products, Brand, Destination and Partner campaigns etc.)
  • Build revenue forecasts by channel and make recommendations on spend to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Work with Performance Marketing Advisor, to ensure campaigns are coordinated and complementary across both traditional and digital channels.
  • Work with internal teams (Marketing + Pricing & Revenue Management) to deliver quick-to-market strategies to drives sales and maximize revenue
  • Liaise with Marketing & Communications team and in-house creative agency partners to develop creative concepts and paid media plans that are aligned to overall commercial goals
  • Manage external media partners; meeting weekly to review budgets and strategic delivery plans, as well as revenue performance vs. forecast, holding all involved accountable to our overall commercial objectives

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to bridge the gap between campaign stakeholders, management, agencies and creative teams
  • Ability to present ideas, negotiate, facilitate and problem solve.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Excellent project management and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • High energy team player with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple goals (revenue, engagement, awareness) and to continuously improve month-over-month KPI targets

Qualification & Experience:

  • 3-5+ years’ experience in a related discipline (Marketing, Digital or eCommerce)
  • Strong experience with Google AdWords, Bing Ads, Facebook Business Manager (including Instagram) and Twitter Ads required (first-party certifications considered strong assets)
  • Strong analytics skills and deep experience with Google Analytics
  • Experience using “headless” CMS, such as Contentful, considered an asset
  • Experience the Office 365 suite, including Word, Excel, PowerBI and PowerPoint
  • Experience in setting up, managing and continuously improving paid media programs
  • Experience managing E-Commerce paid media campaigns
