Staples Jobs – Warehouse Forklift

Job Description:

Primarily responsible for tasks associated with sorting, scanning and loading cartons onto Staples delivery trucks in the correct sequence and in accordance with specific loading SOPs. Tasks may sometimes include operating material handling equipment to sort freight and load delivery trucks, onsite training and certification provided.

Job Responsibilities:

• Demonstrated regular attendance
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Ensure product is in correct location and notify supervisor of any obstacles
• Perform all tasks according to Standard Operating Procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all associates
• Work as a team member by interacting and communicating with fellow associates in a cooperative, constructive manner
• Unload trailers, sort freight, and load delivery truck according to route sequence
• Keep truck and associated equipment in proper working order; report any problems to facility management
• Ensure product is stacked neatly and safely within the warehouse and the delivery truck
• Complete all tasks accurately and completely in order to meet internal/external customer requirements
• Maintain a clean and neat work space at all times

Job Requirements:

• Ability to maneuver, lift, push, and pull heavy objects up to 100 pounds
• Experience working with racking systems and package handling is a plus
• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities
• Stand/walk 8-10 hours per day with or without reasonable accommodation

Qualification & Experience:

• Basic English language skills (both written and verbal communications)
• Overtime hours as required
• Passing a criminal background check and a drug screen required
• Working in a warehouse, includes seasonal temperature variations and moderate noise level
