Job Description:
Manages and coordinates the implementation of Asset Protection and Safety Programs intended to protect Staples, Inc. assets and ensure a safe work environment in Staples Supply Chain (US/Canada), including: Fulfillment Centers; Staples Delivery Operations; Call Centers; Sales Offices; Smilemakers; Medicals Arts Press; Staples Print Solutions; Staples Promotional Products; Staples Technology Solutions, Business Interiors by Staples, and Coastwide Labs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supports programs intended to address issues related to FC shrink and cargo loss.
- Identifies issues related to e-commerce fraud and works diligently to minimize chargeback exposure and maximize potential for sales/profit.
- Leads, coaches, partners, and influences FC/SDO teams to reduce shrink and cargo loss to ensure internal goals are met.
- Coordinates with law enforcement to successfully prosecute theft/fraud cases.
- Manages Asset Protection initiatives and programs in Staples, Inc. Supply Chain locations related to inventory loss, theft, and fraud.
- Implements fraud/theft prevention measures and executes investigations, both internal and external.
- Ensures appropriate internal risk controls are in place through the application of programs including data analysis, audits, training, and investigations.
- Manages the Asset Protection Associate teams responsible for front line security related initiatives in FCs and other locations including, hiring, training, evaluating, and making discipline decisions.
Job Requirements:
- Provides medical updates to field operations as required.
- Manages the WC claims process, in the field, and ensures compliance to the Return to Work efforts.
- Ensures compliance with Federal DOT regulations pertaining to fleet safety, driver qualification, accident investigation, and substance abuse testing requirements.
- Manages programs related to Physical Security including security systems (CCTV, Access Control, burglar alarm protection) and the C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) Program.
- Supports the Staples Fleet Safety program through the execution of driver training, vehicle inspections, truck audits, and driver evaluations.
- Supervises the execution of Hazmat, Food Safety and Workplace Violence Programs.
- Works with Risk Management to analyze accident data, develop corrective action strategies and deliver hazard mitigation.
- Ensures compliance to safety training as required by OSHA, DOT, FDA, and other regulatory agencies.
- Applies best practices, standards, and processes to achieve effective system operations, efficiencies, and savings.
Qualification & Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years progressive loss prevention experience with supervisory responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Strong interpersonal, supervisory, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Experience in the development and implementation of Safety Programs intended to ensure a safe workplace and reduce/control worker’s compensation costs.
- Experience in the successful implementation of Loss Prevention/Shortage/Fraud Control Programs.
