“The DTA Platform Engineering and Operations team is responsible for the support, planning and deployment of code developed within DTA to the Production Platforms. We have on premise solutions that we are responsible for including a Netezza Suite and Hadoop Cluster. As part of our ongoing strategy we are also heavily utilising the Google Cloud Platform and require Platform Engineers to join our Core operations team to help manage the combination of the old on premise and in Cloud Platforms.” – Allan McAleavy, Platform Manager

Job Responsibilities:

• Work within our squads to help deliver GCP Projects using our IAC (Infrastructure as Code)
• Develop/update departmental documentation
• Maintain several platforms and applications incl. Google Cloud, Hadoop, Netezza and Tableau.
• Perform component deployment where automation exists

Job Requirements:

• Good problem-solving skills
• A proactive mindset; monitor and track improvements and issues so they can be feed into the team’s future workstreams

Qualification & Experience:

• Attention to detail Ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure
• An understanding of Cloud and the IAC Framework
