Job Description:

As a Data Engineer specialising in Development within the Data Engineering team, you’ll be responsible for designing & developing solutions built on our GCP platform.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with testers, analysts & designers
• Guide, shape and contribute to the technical solutions on each project
• Design & develop high quality, testable and performant software using agile practices
• Deliver software to tight deadlines

Job Requirements:

• Good experience in Shell scripting, Python and/or Java.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and a proven ability to influence technical decisions in a fast-moving commercial environment
• Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
• An attention to detail, a desire to improve and an attitude to deliver.
• Good SQL skills and understanding of RDMS, experience of Google Big Query, Netezza or other MPP system is useful.
• Good Cloud experience (GCP preferable), with understanding of large-scale data, data warehouses, data pipelines and/or data streaming.
• Good experience of the full software development life cycle including IAC, TDD and CI/CD
• Experience in data warehouse design and principles.
