Job Description:

As Analyst, Business Analytics, Digital, you will work as part of a cross functional analytics team supporting Sephora’s site and merchandising teams. These teams are focused on creating the best user experience for our clients and increasing dotcom conversion and sales. You will analyze and report on performance across Sephora’s digital properties, focused on brand and product-related performance. The ideal candidate will have experience reporting on website and mobile performance for an ecommerce company. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Business Analytics Digital, and rolls up into our Business Analytics organization, covering digital, retail and category analytics for partners across Sephora.

The ideal candidate is data-savvy and has an intellectual curiosity to drill deep to uncover business drivers and present insightful, actionable recommendations to the business. They are comfortable with ambiguity and exploring new growth opportunities for the business. This candidate can successfully build collaborative partnerships across the organization, independently manage projects, and work together with other analytics team members and leadership.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with digital analytics and product management to define business requirements for functionality or data enhancements that can strengthen relationship with Merchandising partners
  • Provide end to end analytical support to the Sephora Merchandising team, focused on brand and product-related performance
  • Conduct deep dive analysis to explain patterns, uncover data centric nuances and tell a story around brand and product-related e-commerce performance
  • Identify reporting needs that can be automated through dashboarding and build out using tools available (Adobe Analytics, Tableau, etc.)
  • Manage on-going set of reports, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to business partners
  • Conduct periodic ad-hoc analyses that identify areas of opportunity to improve the e-commerce platform across Desktop, Mobile Web and Apps

Qualification & Experience:

  • Strong analytical aptitude and familiarity with business intelligence tools, preferably Tableau, a plus
  • Ability to review large amounts of data and provide strategic and actionable recommendations based on patterns and trends
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience using SQL to extract and manipulate data
  • 1 – 3 years of experience in eCommerce analytics preferred
  • Experience using standard web analytics tools (e.g. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics) to provide reporting and insights
  • Strong background in data analysis and proven ability to draw inferences from data
