Job Description:

We’re looking for a Product Development Manager to join our Marketing team. You’ll work exclusively with our Cafe team.. This role is based at our support centre in Bradford, West Yorkshire.

This is a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract in the first instance with the possibility of the role going permanent.

Job Responsibilities:

• Drive operational excellence in the cafe.
• Identify areas we can vertically integrate products into our own manufacturing sites
• Reviewing quality of current products, making product improvements where relevant.
• Understand customer trends & market development
• Develop new products to Morrisons policy – sourcing, technical and nutrition.
• Develop longer term plans with buyers to support seasonal events, local strategy and menu changes

Job Requirements:

• Work with cross functional teams to deliver products on time and right first time
• Commercial understanding
• Strong organisation and planning skills
• Knowledge of food trends
• Food service experience is preferential
• Understanding of customer requirements and developing products with this in mind

Qualification & Experience:

• Develop cafe products alongside the buyer that drive category sales and profits. Exceeding customer requirements whilst also ensuring you are helping to make things simpler for colleagues.
• Write the step by step specification guides for cafe menus.
• Manage product development through a gated process.
• Attend photo shoots for the cafe menu to ensure the right food quality is achieved for customer communication.
