Job Description:
The Manager – Quality Assurance oversees the operational delivery and overall performance of the team and supports their development. The role coaches and supports the department by building a work environment where team members are engaged and feel a positive sense of achievement about their role in delivering world class service. The individual reviews performance trends, and opportunities, and takes continual action to improve the service level and quality of team member performance. In addition, the Manager serves as an escalation point for the team and acts on issues or barriers impacting the customer experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Hold and manage the daily meetings of the risk teams in the food and nonfood areas and escalate critical cases
- Implement and optimize the Lidl quality standards in conjunction with the business partners
- Perform the daily risk assessment in the event of general product problems, critical customer complaints and supplier notifications
- Organize internal and external product tests, including organizing and checking sample planning, sample dispatch, external analytics, and the tasting process
- Serve as technical support for purchasing regarding all quality-related questions
- Organize and check the processing of incoming product-related customer issues, including regular reporting, customer feedback and compensation and processing of product liability claims
- Manage budget and short-term personnel planning for the area for which responsible
- Check, assess and interpret the results of tests and audits and direct communication in line with Lidl International specifications from the Quality Assurance Manual
Job Requirements:
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Knowledge of principles and methods of food science, physics, chemistry, and biology,
- Ability to manage, support, train, and develop a team consumer products regulations, production processes, and quality assurance practices, and retail industry
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience; or
- US Driver’s license
- High school diploma/GED and 7+ years of relevant experience
- Basic project experience
- Master’s Degree in Food Science or related field; or
