The Entertainment Team at Sky UK are responsible for commissioning, acquiring and Planning content across our multiple content & channel brands including Sky One, Sky Atlantic and Sky Cinema. This team creates and manages the content story for Sky ensuring a continuous and ever evolving offering for Sky Customers, that meets all business KPIs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work hand in glove with acquisitions to ensure all content acquired via studios and independents, compliments and improves the service.
• Head up a team responsible for the editorial cadence of priorities.
• Provide leadership to the wider planning team ensuring best practise throughout portfolio.
• Ensure that the best content is included in cross-portfolio events.
• Offer editorial opinion and audience perspective on all potential Sky Originals.
• Collaborate with Merchandising to ensure the best customer experience when navigating the service.
• Lead a team that creates and executes editorial events.
• Liaise with Sky Studios and other key suppliers on key Sky Entertainment Programmes.
• Ensure all major Channel initiatives compliment and strengthen the wider Entertainment strategy.
• Plan channels as part of a wider portfolio strategy centre, enabling support from the wider business on all priorities.
• Design and implement long-term planning strategies to ensure the delivery of Sky Content’s KPI’s including audience, financial and platform metrics.

Job Requirements:

• Vast experience of analysing and understanding audience behaviours
• Proven experience of successfully managing, developing and leading content teams
• Strong analytical skills with ability to produce fresh insight
• Expert understanding of US and UK film marketplace

Qualification & Experience:

• Vision and creativity to develop and improve our content output
• Self-starter with a high degree of personal motivation
• Proven ability to streamline and improve upon systems and practise to achieve improved planning
• Confident and engaging communicator (both verbal and written) with ability to present at all levels of a business
