Job Description:
Warehouse Shift Managers are responsible for providing strong leadership across the Warehouse operation to ensure a safe, efficient and first-class service is delivered to our customers. You will focus on landing and embedding site and centrally-driven continuous improvement initiatives, as well as delivering site KPI performances in order to meet budgetary requirements and achieve an optimum cost to serve.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate within legislation, policy and process in all matters relating to safety, health and environment and ensure risks are minimised
- Create customer centric culture across the warehouse operation by engaging and inspiring the team
- Deliver a consistent performance against the sites budgeted KPIs, and support, achieving an optimum cost to serve
- Lead effective people management process adherence, and continuously developing the team through on-going coaching and feedback
- Through values led leadership deliver consistent business performance and standards across the warehouse operation delivering an excellent site operational performance, delivered safely, compliantly, efficiently, within budget, and reliably, for our customers
- Be an advocate for change on site. Supporting the identification, and embedding, of change programmes on site through strong operational leadership
Job Requirements:
- Has strong organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail
- A confident communicator in a team and on a one to one basis
- Leads through change with ability to foresee potential issues
- Capable of leading and motivating a team and growing their potential
- Proactive, results orientated and deadline driven
- Demonstrate values led leadership, build great working relationships, inspires colleagues and key stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrate excellent leadership behaviour
- Able to make critical time-pressured decisions with the assimilation and interpretation of data quickly
Qualification & Experience:
- Lead the change, ability to encourage, empower and trust others to deliver results
- Identify opportunities to create streamlined ways of working in the DC and focuses on great communication to drive results and standards
- Have a thorough understanding of the business performance and ensure colleagues understand the business impact of their decisions
- Recognise when colleagues have made progress and actively acknowledge this, celebrating success using the company recognition scheme
- Look for ways of improving service in the team both to our internal and external customer
