Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform coordination and supervision as required for annual and triannual system maintenance and testing. Ensure that safe work practices are in place and documented for internal and external personnel.
  • Assist in managing accuracy of Computerized Maintenance Management System asset and work order database
  • Manage the procurement and invoice approval process for service providers.
  • Perform a base level of customer communication and engagement to communicate the value of the Duke partnership. In addition, continue to provide feedback to the Customer Engagement process and Business Development on other potential ways Duke may be able to grow the relationship.
  • Provide operational input to the monitoring team on alarming strategy and fault tree definitions.
  • Provide input back to the Design function to drive continuous improvement in the “maintainability” of new systems. Position requires a person that will utilize past industrial maintenance experience to drive continuous improvement within the team’s processes. This team exists predominately in a non-regulated, competitive environment so this position must provide customer service levels as required in that marketplace.

Job Requirements:

  • Two plus years of project management or related experience. Includes demonstrated project management skills that resulted in projects delivered on-time, on-budget and on-scope. Demonstrated ability to assume total project responsibilities including quality assurance, customer interface, internal reporting and financial evaluation. Demonstrated ability to perform work in compliance with applicable safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Two plus years of project engineering experience in electric infrastructure or related field.
  • Customer focused with demonstrated experience working closely with customers to manage customer issues in a professional manner.
  • Commercial mindset that can assess and resolve customer issues with innovative options based on customer cost guidelines and quality standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating contracts and managing internal and external contractors and consultants to meet customer goals of scope and schedule.
  • Demonstrated ability to speak and write in a clear, concise, and organized manner using correct grammar – ability to document, make recommendations and influence others to common vision and action. Demonstrated ability to represent Duke Energy and effectively communicate technical and business impacts to technical and non-technical individuals within Duke Energy’s and customers’ organization
