Job Description:
The Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for generating sales, developing current relationships and providing leads to field sales. The Inside Sales Specialist answers a variety of inbound customer calls as well as makes outbound calls. The Inside Sales Specialist position is focused on presenting and selling company products and services to current and potential clients. The position identifies new sales opportunities and generates revenue by driving these opportunities through the sales cycle to closure and passing qualified leads to field sales. This role follows established guidelines, obtains pertinent information and forwards new leads/opportunities through the appropriate system (CRM) for assignment to other sales specialists. The Inside Sales department is comprised of about 10-12 people potentially in different locations. This position needs to understand codes and tariffs in all three states as well as products, services, and promotions. Inside Sales provides support to the business by responding to customer inquiries as well as proactively contacting customers via telephone, e-mail, fax and postal/courier services. The Specialist achieves high levels of customer satisfaction while also meeting company goals for efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide customers with accurate and prompt account information and complete necessary account transactions to fulfill requests and ensure customer satisfaction; document all customer contacts completely and accurately
- Answer incoming customer inquiries via phone, email and fax. Provide accurate information to customers, providing requested information and alternative solutions as available Make cold calls to new and existing customers to explore business opportunities
- Provide customers with product or service information to assist in determining appropriate product or service to purchase. Recommend additional products or services to meet customer needs. Resolve customer complaints and process all inquiries so that both customer and company benefit Assist outside sales in identifying potential new business and identifying lost business and lost opportunities
- Enter all new contacts into the CRM with all required information
- Update contact records in CRM
- Update opportunity records in CRM with status and pertinent information of projects Perform other sales functions including but not limited to
- Outbound sales campaigns, via phone, email, or mail
Job Requirements:
- Strong sales aptitude with the ability to cross sell and close sales
- Good mathematical aptitude with good problem solving skills and intense attention to detail
- Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
Qualification & Experience:
- Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or two years of related experience.
- Prior telemarketing and/or sales experience is required
