Job Description:
Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK with a nationwide network of rehoming centres and charity shops. Last year, Dogs Trust centres cared for over 9,000 dogs; we never put a healthy dog down.
Job Responsibilities:
- Working alongside, and under the supervision of the Head Coach and Senior Coach, the Coach will help to provide and teach dog training classes to the general public within the local area as well as adopters of Dogs Trust dogs. They’ll assist with the organization and execution of workshops and seminars for the general public and dog professionals on dog handling, training and behaviour.
Job Requirements:
- You’ll be self-motivated with huge amounts of energy and be passionate about helping dog owners better understand their pets, with the aim of encouraging a positive long-term pet-owner relationship. You will also need a full, manual driving license.
Qualification & Experience:
- The successful individual should have a knowledge of dog behaviour and animal welfare along with good communication and customer service skills. The ability and experience in handling challenging dogs is advantageous.
