Chevron Supply and Trading (S&T) provides a critical link between the market and Chevron’s upstream, downstream and chemicals companies. We provide commercial support to our crude oil and natural gas production operations and to our refining and marketing network. We are headquartered in Houston, Texas, and have offices worldwide – including trading hubs in Houston, London, Singapore and San Ramon, California. Our trading professionals manage commodity transactions averaging five million barrels of liquids and five billion cubic feet of natural gas each day. Job Responsibilities:
- Understand the team’s underlying financial risk exposures and provide market calls and execution to optimize physical positions and generate profit around current and growing equity crude production
- Trade physical and financial crude oil positions for profit while utilizing futures market for hedging physical price exposure
- Evaluate and trade markets utilizing fundamental and technical analysis, sharing findings to other domestic and global teams
- Enhance earnings through third-party financial and physical trading
- Maintain rapid-turnaround, shorter term tools to support daily position taking and deal valuation
- Maintain essential knowledge of infrastructure for crude oil markets, both onshore and offshore
- Support delivery of annual business plan target for the region
- Monitor deal profitability and manage risks while adhering to all trading procedures and controls
- Engage with industry experts and maintain strong internal and external relationships
- Collaborate with regional and global trading teams to understand and trade based on global supply and demand
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of trading and/or origination experience
- 5+ years of crude commodity and/or markets experience
- Flexibility and availability to execute 24/7 trading activities
- Team player and ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Firm understanding of risk management
- Excellent communication skills
- Digital mindset and innovative thinker
- Desire to grow in the trading organization
- Believe in getting results the right way
Qualification & Experience:
- Master’s degree in business or finance
- Experience using Right Angle application
