Job Description:

Responsible for safe and efficient operation of corporate helicopter in accordance with applicable regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conducts prescribed preflight inspection of aircraft prior to commencing flight operations;
  • Prepares flight plans and schedules for each trip. Determines that the aircraft is functioning properly, that weather, loading and fuel are within prescribed safe operating limits and is solely responsible for deciding that each flight can be made safely.
  • Pilots the helicopter, conducting necessary navigation, radio contacts and weather checks and sees to passenger’s needs.
  • Keeps currently and thoroughly informed of mechanical functions, capacities and critical performance characteristics of the aircraft and of modifications thereto together with their effect on capacities and performance characteristics.
  • Reports mechanical malfunctions and unusual changes in flight performance or characteristics.
  • Inspects Company-owned flight decks and landing facilities in areas to which assigned and reports obstructions or hazards potentially endangering safety of helicopter operations to the Senior Pilot with recommendations to correct the situation.
  • As assigned, participates in the survey of possible locations for new heliport locations, recommending most feasible site.
  • Completes required forms, logs and flight manuals covering flight operations. Sees that the aircraft is properly secured at conclusion of flight operations. Maintains required FAA licenses and ratings.
  • Observes and reports to the Lead or Senior Pilot in the operating area any noted irregularity in the Company’s operations which would adversely affect the Company’s position on maintaining the desired ecology.
  • Coordinates passenger briefings, monitors, fuel state and quality of offshore fuel installations

Job Requirements:

  • All pilots shall possess a Commercial Pilot Certificate with an instrument rating or an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.
  • The certificate must be properly endorsed for category, class, and type rating for the aircraft to be operated.
  • New hire pilots shall have a minimum of 1,500 hours of helicopter total time, 1,000 hours of helicopter turbine time and 500 hours of Gulf of Mexico experience or offshore operations.
  • All personnel are required to have an adequate level of fluency in English to perform their duties.
  • Candidate must be willing to work on a Rotational schedule. 7 Days on 7 days off.
