Job Description:

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a health communications expert responsible for leading the planning, implementation, management, and evaluation of major, complex public health communication and marketing programs and campaigns.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all health communication activities are based on theory and use accepted principles, methods and practices
  • Lead or oversee the development and management of contracts and/or task orders and requests for proposals, review of proposals, and the conduct and quality of work performed
  • Organize and direct the activities of a team or work unit; plan work to be accomplished, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules; balance workload and provide advice, guidance, and direction on a range of health communication and administrative issues
  • Ensure that messages and materials are: scientifically valid and consistent with program objectives, based on communication and marketing theory and principles, based on audience research (including concept, message, and Web- usability testing), and targeted or tailored to diverse audiences, addressing cultural and socioeconomic challenges to effective communication and considering the diverse interests, needs, concerns, and priorities of various population segments
  • Provide consultation, technical assistance, and training on translation, communication, marketing research, evaluation and dissemination to internal and external groups to facilitate national or international efforts

Job Requirements:
