Job Description:

Data and Information Management Specialists (DIMS) create Product Master Data that enables products to be sold in-store and online and flows through enterprise systems to enable critical operations; from purchasing, search, marketing and distribution through to returns and secondary markets.  DIMS are responsible for data governance, creating SKUs, optimizing data models and enriching product information across platforms and channels as opportunities emerge.

Job Responsibilities:

• Apply extensive knowledge of data models to optimize product data and information and its flow through Best Buy systems of record.
• Become a subject matter expert in product data, SKU creation, process and system changes affecting data across systems and channels.
• Be responsible for master data in the product domain and lead data stewardship and compliance projects and programs
• Collaborate with colleagues in SEO, UX Design, Digital Retail, Content Strategy, Legal, Technology to optimize our data to deliver engaging customer experiences
• Ensure reference data is up to date in validation systems. Responsible for data quality and compliance reporting and controls to validate integrity of data

Job Requirements:

• Advanced data governance skills
• Advanced communication and facilitation skills
• In-depth understanding of data flow in internal systems and downstream impacts of data integrity

Qualification & Experience:

• 5 years data/eCommerce experience
