Barclays Internship 2024 Opportunities – Software Engineer

Job Description:

As a Barclays Software Engineer working within Barclaycard Payment Solutions (BPS) you will be responsible for supporting a wide range of businesses from large corporates to prosumers with taking payments. Using your previous experience as a Software Engineer gained within a matrix organisation, you will be developing and testing using Agile methodologies, whilst working in a fast paced and ever changing environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Contributing to the development approach within the feature team
• Developing an understanding of key areas of the product set and related technologie
• Contributing to the ethos of a self-organised and empowered team
• Providing the successful delivery of business outcomes into production, to include all design, software development, automated testing and automated deployment
• You will be able to innovate and create best in class solutions whilst being able to explore new ideas

Job Requirements:

• Proven Knowledge and experience Web application design utilising JSP
  Experience of developing using SAFE Agile methodologies
  Experience of software development within the Payment Industry
  Knowledge of Server side full stack application development on JBOSS 6 or higher

Qualification & Experience:

• Experience of Software delivery and deployment patterns (e.g. Continuous Delivery, Continuous Integration, etc.)
• Experience in incorporating automated build, test and deployment processes in an Agile work environment
• University qualifications in Digital, Computing or Technology related subjects (i.e. STEM subjects)
