Job Description:
Our team are known for the timely, creative and professional delivery of a high volume, high value array of digital assets which showcase our own brand and supplier marketing. As a Web Designer you will be accountable for the creation and implementation of on-brand promotional graphics for use across the Asda groceries website, mobile and app. You will also be responsible for the refinement of new asset development, project coordination and workload management across the design half of the team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Alongside the Lead Web Designer you will work to challenge creative briefs where required driving innovation and new ways of thinking. You will have the opportunity to review and refine ways of working and contribute to the improvement of processes where required to drive efficiency and best practice across the team.
- Day to day you will be responsible for the creation and delivery of optimised promotional graphics across banner media, landing pages and content for the Grocery website in accordance with best practice guidelines. In line with the online activity or supplier funding plan you will ensure that all activity and media is delivered on time, accurately and on brand.
Job Requirements:
- You will likely have previous experience in web graphic design and have, or be working towards a relevant design qualification. We’d like to see you demonstrate your ability to use Photoshop and Illustrator, hand code HTML and use CSS. Experience using a content management system (CMS) and a clear understanding of designing for web standards and browsers will be crucial. A strong knowledge of UX principles and running A/B and MVT testing will be advantageous.
