Job Description:

Asda have an exciting opportunity to join the MI Centre of Excellence as part of our GBS (Global Business Services) Finance team. We are committed to developing our own pipeline of talent within data, visualisation, automation, planning and forecasting.

Job Responsibilities:

• You will be be passionate about driving the Business Intelligence agenda in ASDA, recognising the potential to drive decision making and story-telling through quality accessible data. In order to do this you will build and maintain support networks across the business, prioritise with stakeholders and communicate effectively.
• The successful candidate will have accountability for the maintenance, development and ownership of reporting in a timely and accurate manner. Utilising a variety of data sources and tools.
• This role will give you the opportunity to develop your technical skillset exposing you to software such as Anaplan, Oracle Essbase, Tableau, Alteryx and PowerBI.
• Keeping a business as big as ours on track means getting the right information, to the right people, at the right time, to help them make the right decisions. The MI Centre of Excellence is responsible for delivering a range of value add reporting to our customers across the business.

Job Requirements:

• This is a great opportunity to step into an ever expanding area of the Asda business. ASDA have various apprenticeship opportunities available to help you further your career, and quickly progress your knowledge of how data works in a business as vast as ours.
• Ideally you will have previous experience working with analytical and reporting tools and an aptitude for working with numbers and large data sets, this could be recent work experience or as part of an analytically-based degree. In order to succeed you will need a desire to learn and drive your own development forward, as well as a naturally inquisitive nature and a confidence to question the status quo. ASDA is fast-paced multi-faceted organisation, with ever evolving priorities.
• You will be able to demonstrate resilience to change and will have the ability to work co-operatively and effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
