Job Description:
You will take ownership and accountability for developing and maintaining our core digital solutions and technology capabilities that underpin and support the association of our Card, Product Care (and upon launch, FPP) products with retail product within the digital sales channels. Focusing on the creation of the enabling solutions to optimise trading of our financial services product suite to both maximise profitability and drive customer satisfaction, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the digital future for Argos Financial Services (AFS).
You will contribute to all aspects of successful definition and execution of the digital customer experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and recommend options
- Translate business objectives into product requirements and key features and benefits
- Manage and prioritise bugs, enhancements & necessary updates (tech, regulatory, platform) to existing features
- Articulate the detailed steps and processes needed to deliver features
- Clearly define and communicate the detailed plans for delivering the objectives for your product area
- Work with the broader Digital Experience & Technology team to prioritise product investments
- Managing blockers and impediments to delivery, and negotiating compromises to feature implementation without significantly impacting customer experience and overall strategy
- Detailed scoping and delivery of agreed & prioritised roadmap
- Drive and deliver on strategic and tactical initiatives in order to increase commercial and customer benefits within the AFS business
Job Requirements:
- Proven ability to influence at a Senior Management and Executive level
- Experience of developing & working with an Innovation & NPD Gateway Process
- Significant experience of, using research, analysis & insight to shape technology solutions
- Proven leader with experience facilitating change across teams and in a matrix management organisation
- Project management skills in complex multi-functional projects
- Significant experience in a digitally focussed Product Owner role
- Proven experience in understanding how technology can be utilised to improve business process
Qualification & Experience:
- Technical Expertise
- Strong awareness and understanding of Conduct Risk
- Ability to motivate and operate in a fast paced environment, acting as champion of all customer propositions with a helpful, motivational, positive and engaging approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels, with proven understanding of the value of research and understanding customer needs and expectations.
- Strong relationship management skills
- Significant leadership experience within FMCG, Retail or Financial Services sector
