Job Description:
As a team, we provide a transport solution to support the needs of our customers, factories, copackers and some of our suppliers across Nestle. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment dealing with multiple stakeholders both internal and external to Nestlé, driving a problem-solving mentality within the Transport Team.
You’ll provide support to the Transport team in order to deliver a seamless, proactive service for our 24/7 operation. The department is responsible for the successful delivery of our products including inbound and outbound deliveries as well as work undertaken for and by 3rd parties.
Job Responsibilities:
- Keeping the Customer Team, or the Customers themselves, fully aware of any issues affecting timely deliveries.
- Plan trailers back to base in line with servicing and MOT requirements.
- Liaising with hauliers to ensure an adequate supply of trailers into the system in order to prevent delays in loading.
- Formulate and instigate a plan whenever a load is refused at its destination to reduce overall delays and to ensure all stock is returned to a suitable location.
- Liaising with hauliers to ensure timely collection of loads from factories and distribution centres and on time deliveries to customers, both external and internal.
