Aldi UK Jobs – Quality Control Assistant

Job Description:

We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Control Assistant to join our growing team at our Regional Distribution Centre in Goldthorpe.

The successful applicant will be part of an enthusiastic close-knit team that is responsible for reviewing all of our short-life products, ensuring they’re at the highest standards before they leave to be stocked at Stores across the region, keeping our customers happy.

As a committed employer Aldi will support you with full training, to ensure you can ‘spot check’ pallets of short-life produce and interpret specifications that have been labelled so variables such as the country of origin, dimensions and weight are all reviewed accordingly.

Job Responsibilities:

• Sampling of products
• Report findings of quality issues
• Assisting with the monitoring of corrective actions on products
• Conduct checks on all fresh produce
• Liaising with suppliers
• Detailed inspection of incoming products against their specifications

Job Requirements:

• Ability to show initiative and work independently, and as part of a team
• Attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualification & Experience:

• Experience working within fresh food or a relevant industry is desirable
• Educated to GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in at least three subjects
