Job Description:
We’re looking for a Product Development Manager to join our Marketing team. You’ll work exclusively with our Cafe team.. This role is based at our support centre in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
This is a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract in the first instance with the possibility of the role going permanent.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive operational excellence in the cafe.
- Identify areas we can vertically integrate products into our own manufacturing sites
- Reviewing quality of current products, making product improvements where relevant.
- Understand customer trends & market development
- Develop new products to Morrisons policy – sourcing, technical and nutrition.
- Develop longer term plans with buyers to support seasonal events, local strategy and menu changes
Job Requirements:
- Work with cross functional teams to deliver products on time and right first time
- Commercial understanding
- Strong organisation and planning skills
- Knowledge of food trends
- Food service experience is preferential
- Understanding of customer requirements and developing products with this in mind
Qualification & Experience:
- Develop cafe products alongside the buyer that drive category sales and profits. Exceeding customer requirements whilst also ensuring you are helping to make things simpler for colleagues.
- Write the step by step specification guides for cafe menus.
- Manage product development through a gated process.
- Attend photo shoots for the cafe menu to ensure the right food quality is achieved for customer communication.
