Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Network & Security Consultant to support and administer our 800+ UK sites working as part of our Head Office IT Infrastructure Team, supporting Lidl GB and International projects whilst contributing towards the technical specification and design.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Network Professional with CCNP level broad network skills, capable of proficiently supporting our UK WAN.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Produce problem reports and escalations where necessary
  • Carry out BAU maintenance, and monitor network
  • Change control (CAB) and task scheduling
  • Work on non-network related projects
  • Travel and overnight stay where required
  • Monitor and resolve departmental call management tickets
  • Update and maintain network documentation and procedures
  • Consult and design following Lidl best practice and procedures
  • Provide expert support for LAN/WAN related network issues
  • Provide “Out of Hours Support” on a scheduled rotation
  • Support locally, remotely and using cloud – based tools
  • Maintain and report SLA and KPI where specified
  • Maintain and support Lidl GB network equipment and infrastructure
  • Rollout and solution implementation of projects
  • Work with third party contractors and external service partners
  • Ordering and Asset Inventory

Job Requirements:

  • Experience of supporting and configuring IPSEC, DMVPN
  • Cross sectional experience working to CCNP level or above is essential
  • Confident supporting and configuring CUCM, SIP and Cisco VOIP products
  • Experience of supporting and configuring Cisco WLC and WLAN products
  • Experience of supporting and configuring Cisco ASA
  • Broad experience of hands on installation and support of Huawei / Fortinet routing, switching and firewall technologies in an Enterprise environment.
  • Experience supporting a large multisite MPLS, L3 and L2 Cisco network is essential

Qualification & Experience:

  • Experience of Nagios, Splunk, Nessus, Cisco DNA/Prime an advantage
  • Maintain security patch management and routine software hardware upgrades
  • Maintain monthly KPI and produce management reports
  • Experience of VOIP, WLAN, CUCM, Cisco ISE an advantage
  • Able to work away and out of hours on call when required
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Design and test new solutions for use in the business
  • Able to produce drawings, and technical documentation using Microsoft VISIO, WORD, EXCEL and PowerPoint of a good technical standard
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to respond and support, incidents and requests to conclusion
