Job Description:
The Analyst Compensation assists all aspects of compensation processes to ensure pay structures remain market competitive and effective in attracting and retaining Crewmembers. The Analyst collaborates with People departments and workgroup Leadership in addressing compensation related matters. The Analyst also collaborates with other members of the People, Payroll, and IT departments as well as Leadership in analyzing compensation related data.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supports the annual compensation planning for salaried Crewmembers
- Reviews industry surveys for market movement and new trends regarding pay approaches
- Counsels Recruitment and Crewleaders on compensation administration policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Evaluates job descriptions and identifies appropriate benchmarks to determine competitive salary ranges
- Assists with day-to-day compensation administration including reviewing offers, assisting with Crewmember pay inquiries, generating reports, and supporting Recruiters in hiring decisions
- Conducts market pricing of positions based on geographical location; reviews proposals for new or revised positions to determine appropriate pay grade assignment
- Assists with developing Compensation communication and compensation training modules
- Participates in industry and compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine the company’s competitive position
- Participates in the development, communication, and implementation of compensation programs and reviews effectiveness of current plans
Job Requirements:
- Experience using Human Resource Information Systems; knowledge of SAP
- Advanced knowledge of excel including macros
- One (1) year compensation analysis experience, including job analysis, job evaluation, job classification, and job grading
Qualification & Experience:
- Attention to detail and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word
- Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and diplomacy
- Ability to prioritize tasks and recognize when escalation is necessary
- Bachelor’s Degree; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous experience
- Capable of working on several projects simultaneously
- Strong data skills; inclusive of v-lookups, pivot tables, and formulas
- One (1) year of experience using Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational skills
- Available for overnight travel (10%)
- Ability to research, analyze, and synthesize information/data into recommendations and presentations
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Candidates must demonstrate advanced Excel skills through a work sample exercise
