Job Responsibilities:

• Marketing & eStrategy – The United Cargo Marketing internship will provide a unique opportunity to experience the cargo business and contribute to key marketing projects. The intern will play a key role in managing eStrategy project UAT and implementation activities with customers, operations and station managers.
• Government & Military – The intern will provide a variety of business support and gain valuable experience on the Government Cargo team including, but not limited to: bidding performance reporting, federal contract administration support, monitoring contract deliverables, data accumulation and analysis.
• Sales Strategy – The United Cargo Pricing, Revenue Management and Sales Strategy organization provides strategic direction, business processes, network access guidelines, analytical support and performance reporting to optimize United Airlines’ Global network. The Sales Strategy intern will aid the team with a variety of projects relating to flight level forecasting & performance, report automation, and building out a revamped forecast/model for the sales team.
• Postal Network Optimization – The Postal Network Optimization intern will focus on recovery analysis for postal mail product post-COVID and developing a reworked global network strategy for postal. The intern will also help to develop recommendations to address opportunities and weaknesses post-COVID, to ultimately drive growth and product resilience.
• Cargo Logistics & Support Services – The United Cargo Support Services intern could support projects spanning multiple areas such as: Road Feeder Service (RFS) initiatives; design & implementation of ULD Demurrage International; accessorial fee mapping; competitor analysis and strategy; mail volume forecasting to allow for service provider planning and improved mail scores.
• Revenue Management – The Revenue Management intern will support our European cargo operation in analyzing booking trends, capacity & yields. In this role, the intern will assess current pricing practices relative to market conditions while also reviewing processes/SOPs for adhoc management.

Job Requirements:

• Must be a current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Business or related field, or recent graduate from a business-related program
• Solid interpersonal and project management skills and ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment
• Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office suite programs
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
